The Albertsons Boise Open is back at the Hillcrest Country Club. The annual event brings some of the best professional golfers here to Idaho.

And if golfing isn't really your thing, there are plenty of other activities going on in the treasure valley this weekend. First off, Boise's North End continues a more than 30 year tradition... the Hyde Park Street Fair kicks off today.

Organizers spent Thursday setting up booths, stages, and of course, the beer garden. The annual party is a fundraiser for the north end neighborhood association. More than 30,000 people are expected to come out to the fair. Everything runs until 9:30 tonight and Saturday, and wraps up Sunday evening.

Plus-- you know fall is around the corner when the Oktoberfests begin. Payette Brewing is hosting their annual Oktoberfest tomorrow afternoon. All ages-- and even dogs-- are welcome to the day of fun which starts at 2 o'clock. For everyone 21 and up, $15 will get you your first drink token and a branded stein. Any additional tokens will cost you $7. There will also be plenty of German-inspired food available!

Or you can check out a community block party in Meridian tomorrow. The full day event will be held at Kleiner Memorial Park, and there will be inflatables, a climbing wall, a mascot dance off, food trucks, live music and more. The activities start at 10:00 a.m., and you have until 5 o'clock to check it out.

And, Caldwell residents, fun is in store for you this weekend, too! The Indian Creek Plaza is hosting the 16th Annual Indian Creek Festival, which will celebrate the daylighting of Indian Creek and Downtown Caldwell. Activities on the lineup include a dog parade, car cruise, and chalk art contest. The event runs through Saturday evening.

And while you're out and about this weekend, don't forget to take plenty of pictures and use the hashtag #6pix. And follow @6onyourside on Instagram! We might just feature one of your shots.
