The construction on a section of the Boise River Greenbelt near Warms Springs Mesa has completed and will reopen to all users on Friday at 5 p.m.

The Warm Springs Mesa Project improved 1.14 miles of Greenbelt pathway between Warms Springs Golf Course and E. Parkcenter Bridge in east Boise.

The old section of Greenbelt was over thirty years old. The new section is wider, safer, and smoother with a completely new asphalt surface.

The new path is 1.5 to 2 feet wider throughout the entire section, with a centerline skip striping to separate the two directions of travel, Intersection approach striping and signage, and no more cracks or tree roots.

The Warm Springs Mesa Greenbelt Project has been completed three weeks ahead of the schedule.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:30 a.m.
