Police in Caldwell have arrested a man they say led them on a chase that started in Meridian and ended in Canyon County.
Officers say Phil Knittle was found hiding in a shed behind a house in a Caldwell neighborhood.
It all started during a traffic stop in Meridian. During that stop they discovered the driver was wanted on a warrant for drug charges. That’s when police say he took off and headed towards Canyon County.
Police say the pursuit stopped after the car hit spike strips in Caldwell and they set up a perimeter in the area of 10th and Galveston.
Officers also say they found meth in the vehicle. Police have not released any information on what other charges Knittle will now face in addition to the $250,000 warrant he already faced out of Canyon County.
