The ALS Association hosted its Boise Walk to Defeat ALS this afternoon.
People living with the disease and their support systems gathered at Esther Simplot Park.
Participants shared their personal experiences and camaraderie around living with the disease.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects a person's ability to move, breathe and talk.
One of the main goals of the walk is to get conversations started and eventually lead to a cure.
