BOISE, Idaho — One of Boise's gateway streets is getting some artistic flair.

For several years, the city has been looking at ways to beautify Vista Avenue, which runs from the airport to the Boise Depot.

Four different sculptures, each representing one of the four seasons, will soon be added to the medians between Targee and Cherry streets. At the other end of Vista, terraced landscaping areas near the depot will be redone with even more artwork. A committee hasn't picked an artist for that project just yet, but they may select one later in July.

The artwork does still need city council approval, but once it's approved it could be installed by next summer.

The projects are funded through grants from various neighborhood groups.
