A Nampa man is lucky to be alive after his car burst into flames.
It happened about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday along 7th St. in Nampa. The man was driving down the street when he reported hearing a strange sound in his car's engine. A few seconds later, the engine burst into flames. The driver escaped the car safely but the car is a total loss. It took fire crews about 10 minutes to put it out. No word yet as to what caused the fire.
