Four people -- two women and two juveniles -- were transported to local hospitals following a two-vehicle crash in Nampa early Wednesday morning.

The collision happened about 7 a.m. at the intersection of Karcher and Middleton Roads.

According to an Idaho State Police news release, Tasha Chandler, 35, of Caldwell, was westbound on Karcher Road driving a 2002 Honda Civic. She was waiting to turn left onto Middleton Road. Lori Jerran, 42, of Boise, was eastbound on Karcher Road, driving a 2002 Chevy Blazer. As Chandler made a left hand turn she was struck by Jerran. Jerran's vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top, the release said.

Chandler and two juvenile occupants –- an eleven-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy -- were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Jerran was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Medical Center in Meridian, according to the ISP.

The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

Investigators said all occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Lanes at the intersection were partially blocked for about two hours.

The Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
