ISP: Two vehicle crash in Caldwell leaves one dead and three injured

CALDWELL, Idaho — Police say one person is dead and three are injured after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Key West Street and South Florida Avenue in Caldwell.

According to Canyon County jail records, one person in the crash is in custody, charged with aggravated D.U.I. and vehicular manslaughter.

Janet Gonzalez, 37, was driving southbound on South Florida Avenue. Grayson Thurston, 20, was also driving southbound on South Florida Avenue. Thurston's vehicle struck Gonzalez's vehicle, according to authorities.

Police say Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene and that next of kin has been notified.

Two passengers in Gonzalez's vehicle were transported by ground ambulance for injuries, according to police, along with Thurston.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
