Meridian Police arrested two suspects after officers say they crashed a stolen van into a street sign near Friday night.
Police responded to a report of a suspected DUI driver around 9 p.m. Friday night. When officers tried to pull over the van, the driver took off. Police ran the plates and determined the vehicle was reported stolen.
The van crashed at Verbena Dr. and Linder in Meridian, destroying a stop sign and street post.
The two suspects inside got out of the van and fled on foot. Meridian Police captured one suspect shortly after a foot pursuit. The other suspect was found later as officers surrounded the area from Linder road to Ten Mile.
Austin Kong, 19, was charged with felony eluding or fleeing police, grand theft, and several misdemeanor charges including resisting or obstructing officers, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tyler Cannon, 21 was charged with resisting or obstructing officers, possession or use of a legend drug without a prescription, and failure to appear.
Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail.
