ONTARIO, Ore. — Two people facing murder charges in an Ontario shooting will make a court appearance today. 20-year-old Nicholas Tucker and 21-year-old Starr Bales are also facing conspiracy charges. The Malheur County District attorney says the pair was taken into custody following the death of 21-year-old Raymond Kelly.

Kelly was found shot in the head at a home just before 1 A.M. Tuesday. Investigators say Kelly was shot from outside a bedroom window and died at the scene. The Malheur County Major Crimes Team and multiple other agencies responded to assist with the investigation. Witnesses and neighbors were interviewed and search warrants were obtained. The Oregon State Crime Lab was also dispatched to help process the scene and gather evidence.

Information and evidence led to Tucker and Bales being questioned and arrested based on their involvement in the death of Kelly. Formal arraignment will be held today in the Malheur County Circuit Court. Grand Jury will be held and the case presented as soon as possible.
