Three people were transported to a hospital following a two- vehicle collision Tuesday morning at the junction of Highway 45 and 78 in Owyhee County.
It happened about 10:45 a.m.
According to emergency crews on the scene, a Honda Accord and a pick-up truck collided near the junction.
The car’s female driver was flown by air ambulance to a hospital. Her male passenger was transported by ground ambulance. A baby in the vehicle at the time was also transported as a precautionary measure.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately available
The male truck driver was uninjured.
Personnel from the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Department, the Nampa Fire Department and the Melba Quick Response Unit were dispatched to the scene.
Highway 78 was blocked for nearly two hours.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
