Two historic World War II Bombers land at the Nampa Municipal Airport

NAMPA — The Flying Legends of Victory Tour has made their way to Idaho as the B-17 bomber "Sentimental Journey" and the B-25 bomber "Maid in the Shade" landed in Nampa.

These historic airplanes will be at the Nampa Municipal Airport until Sunday, the public can take a tour of these planes every day and starting on Friday you could even book a flight on one of these historic bombers.

Ground tours cost $15 per person or $25 for a family of four and the cost of riding in the planes varies but the base price for the B-25 bomber is $325 and the B-17 is $425, for more information click here.

On Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. there will be a special ceremony at the Nampa Municipal Airport with a purpose of honoring our local veterans

The B-17 is known as the "Flying Fortress" and was instrumental in helping the Allies win World War II, one local woman's husband flew the B-17 in World War II and to find out what today meant to her check out the video.
