Two Caldwell men arrested for child enticement

Posted

Nampa Police arrested and charged two suspects with child enticement on Saturday.

On March 11, around 3 p.m., Nampa police officers responded to a report of a man chasing an 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl around in the area of the 300 block of 10th Avenue North, before the children's mother came out and scared the man off. He then fled the scene in a Ford pickup.

While the officer was searching the area, the suspect's Ford came back by the house. Some neighbors attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled the area.

An officer located the vehicle in the 500 block of 6th Street North and made a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Charles E. Roberts, 38 and David J. Roberts, 39, both Caldwell residents, were charged with misdemeanor child enticement and were booked into the Canyon County jail.

The Nampa Police Department is interested in speaking with anyone else that might have had similar contact with the two suspects recently.

If anyone has further information about the two suspects in this case, please contact the Nampa Police Department at 465-2257 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or on the internet at 343COPS.com.
