Twin Falls Police are asking for the public’s help in providing additional information on an apparent robbery and kidnapping.

According to investigators, a Hispanic man in his 50s was walking in the 200 block of Main Avenue West in Twin Falls about 2 p.m. Tuesday when he was grabbed by three white men, battered, and thrown into a white 4-door sedan. The make and model is unknown.

The victim told officers he was forced to lie down on the floor of the car, as the three drove “him out of city limits on Pole Line Road West, somewhere East of Rock Creek Canyon,” a TFPD news release said. “The victim indicated he was unsure of the exact location, but reported the assailants drove him down near the river, where he was able to jump out of the car and flee. The assailants gave chase and assaulted the victim again with a baseball bat. The victim reported that, before leaving him stranded, the assailants took his phone and wallet,” the release stated.

After the attack, the victim was able to make his way to a road where he was given a ride to his son’s house by a man driving a red ford pickup.

The victim described all three assailants as white men, having bald heads and facial hair.

Twin Falls Police detectives want to speak to the driver of the Red Ford pickup that found the victim walking and gave him a ride to his son’s house -- and are asking the driver to contact Detective Jon Wilson at (208) 735-4357.

Police are also asking anyone who was on Main Avenue about 2 p.m. Tuesday and may have witnessed this crime, or any business in the area with surveillance cameras that may have captured the incident, to contact the Twin Falls Police Department at (208) 735-4357 or Crime Stoppers at (208) 732-5387.
