Treefort 2020 announces first round lineup

Treefort Music Fest 2020 announced its first round lineup and fort headliners Thursday morning. The anouncement includes 123 bands from 14 countries, 30 fort artists and events and new ticket info.

The ninth annual festival will take place across multiple venues on March 25-29, 2020, in downtown Boise.

Treefort Music Fest 2020 lineup: Chromatics, Japanese Breakfast, Omar Apollo, Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah, Larkin Poe, Peter Bjorn and John, Tennis, Prefuse 73, AJJ, Sinkane, Magic Sword, Chad Vangaalen, Pell, The Felice Brothers, Joshy Soul, Mdou Moctar, Vundabar, Algiers, Nite Jewel, Monophonics, Shabaka and The Ancestors, Mikal Cronin, Andrea Gibson, Ata Kak, Chong the Nomad, Goth Babe, Rituals of Mine and more.

"As we fire up the engines for the ninth edition of Treefort, we’ve been overwhelmed with interest from incredible artists from all over the globe,” said Eric Gilbert, Treefort festival director. “This first artist announcement is a great initial glimpse of the depth of talent that’s coming to Treefort 2020."

Comedyfort headliners include comedian, actor, and writer Irene Tu, and comedian Tom Thakkar, whose Comedy Central special was just released on November 1. Learn more here.

Treefort was conceived as an extension of the current momentum in the Boise music scene and art scene at large. According to a press release, their vision is that Treefort will provide the opportunity for Boise to play host to the national and regional music scenes while showcasing the local up-and-coming talent. Treefort Music Fest was proudly recognized as the cultural ambassador for the City of Boise 2015-2017.
