BOISE, Idaho — It is no secret, if your trash doesn't get picked up on time, it really stinks.
Our newsroom has received several calls from viewers in Ada County this week, complaining their trash has not been picked up in at least five days. Even Ada County offices have been taking calls from upset residents.
Republic Services, the company that picks up the trash, did not answer our question about what caused the problem but said the collections are back on track.
The county told us Republic Services has flown in eight garbage truck drivers from throughout the northwest to help out. Those drivers hit the streets this week.
Unrelated to the late pick-ups, Ada County says it will be switching to a new trash collection company in October.
