By the end of the morning commute, four slide-offs, twenty-five non-injury crashes, five rollovers and one extrication were reported.

Despite the numerous accidents, the worst injury reported was a possible broken shoulder.

The new highway 16 extension between Chinden and State street was particularly busy with accidents and police response. Both northbound and southbound lanes were blocked as crews cleared accidents and towed away wreckage.
