Boise Police officers are investigating a vandalism at Mountain View Park, in which someone spray-painted a swastika and several racial slurs on playground equipment.

Investigators believe the vandalism possibly happened late Wednesday night.

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department was made aware of the vandalism Thursday morning and filed a report with the Boise Police Department shortly thereafter, said Parks and Rec spokesperson Bonnie Shelton.

A Parks and Rec worker was in the process of removing the graffiti Thursday morning.

The park is located in the 7000 block of West Ustick Road, near the Mountain View Elementary School.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
