BOISE, Idaho — Neighbors came together while staying six feet apart to help each other out and keep their neighborhood in tip-top shape.

The Sunset Neighborhood Association held a socially-distant trash pick-up event in their neighborhood near Sunset Park.

The neighbors taking part in the cleanup event wore masks and gloves and gathered trash bags. The Sunset Neighborhood Association says they identify high-use areas in the neighborhood to clean.

"Our philosophy is that if you see people picking up trash and like taking care of the neighborhood then that should inspire other people to do the same, so lead by example," said Matt Gelsthorpe, board member of the Sunset Neighborhood Association.

The Sunset Neighborhood Association says this is a part of their annual litter pick-up event.
