It used to be only army medics and emergency room doctors had to deal with severe trauma, but with the normalizing of mass shooting, it seems everyone needs to know how to deal with severe bleeding.

St. Luke's is working to teach people how to "Stop the Bleed" with a special course. The key is pressure through bandages or tourniquets. Four classes were held today to help people learn triage techniques.

The goal is to empower the community with the skills and knowledge to help someone who is severely bleeding.
