IDAHO — Idaho State Police are asking for help locating a missing driver that went off the road near Lucky Peak reservoir Thursday afternoon.

Police say a witness saw the car go down an embankment and called for help, but when first responders arrived, the driver had fled. Officials say the vehicle, a silver Toyota Tundra, drove off Highway 21 near milepost 12 near Lucky Peak dam, around 4:28 p.m. The car then came to a stop around 800 feet down the embankment, according to ISP.

ISP is investigating the crash and asking the public for any information that may help locate the driver. Anyone who saw an individual looking for a ride or leaving the described area or has any information to identify the individual is asked to call ISP dispatch at 208-846-7550.
