A man is now in police custody following a Thursday morning stand-off in a Nampa neighborhood.
It began shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday morning when Caldwell Police officers became involved in a high-speed pursuit. Details of the pursuit were not immediately available.
The officers followed the suspect to the Nampa neighborhood, but then lost him, according to Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Riha.
A short while later, officers located the suspect in a backyard shed of a house on 7th Avenue North.
The man barricaded himself in the shed and refused to come out.
Neighbors were notified to stay inside their homes, Riha said.
Police say the man was arrested without incident.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
