The recipe is from Spencer Blake's family. The tradition of having it on Christmas morning is from his wife.
Sausage Brunch Casserole
1.5 lb ground sausage (or bacon, if desired)
1 can crescent roll dough
1 small can green chiles (if desired)
3/4 cups milk
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
Line 9X13 buttered casserole dish with crescent roll dough. Press edges together to seal seams. Brown sausage. Drain. Crumble sausage over dough. Spread cheese and green chiles over sausage. Beat eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together. Pour over top of cheese and sausage.
Bake at 425° for 15-20 minutes.
