The first step to helping unemployed veterans in our community can be as easy as buying an antique lamp.
The Antique World Mall held an outdoor market this afternoon to support our vets.
Every month the market, put on by the antique mall, supports a different local charity. This month it supports the Vets for Success non-profit.
Vets for Success helps connect veterans with job opportunities and collects donations from the community.
“It’s an easy thing to do, throw some cash into a jar, but you're benefiting so many people who so need our support and thank you for what they’ve given our country," said coordinator Kristina Evans.
In addition to the money raised at the outdoor market, the mall also offered 10% off their antiques to raise even more money.
Next month the antique mall outdoor market plans to serve the Idaho Food Bank, to get a head-start before Thanksgiving and the holidays.
