Investigators say a woman whose body was found in her Ammon home July 2 was murdered.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office believes the body is that of Lisa Stukey, the homeowner. “However, we are awaiting positive confirmation on her identity,” Sheriff Paul Wilde said in a news release.

The remains were found at 2390 Ross Avenue in Ammon.

“The victim had been deceased for an extensive period of time and was the only person located inside the residence,” said Wilde.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with the FBI, the Idaho State Police, and the Ada County Coroner’s Office in processing evidence found at the scene.

“Detectives have been … interviewing several people who have knowledge of Lisa Stukey and are working several leads that have come in,” the Sheriff said.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office at 208-529-1200 – or the Idaho Falls/Bonneville County CrimeStoppers at 208-522-1983.
