They’re baaaack. A band of sheep crossed Idaho Highway 55 Friday morning. Two thousand sheep are on a hike to the Boise National Forest where they’ll graze until August.

The sheep have trailed all the way from Wilder and they’ll be hanging out in the Boise Foothills for the next few weeks.

If you see the sheep in the foothills, don’t pull the wool over your eyes.

The dogs protecting the sheep can be aggressive.

If you encounter sheep or guard dogs while your out riding a bike, get off the bike and walk it through the sheep.

ATV’s or motorcycles should slowly ride through the sheep.

If you are hiking with dogs, make sure to keep them on a leash.

If you want updates on where you can find the sheep, updates are posted on the“life on the range” Facebook page.
