Set up begins for the Festival of Trees

Posted
It's a holiday tradition here in the valley, and it's just getting started.

Volunteers spent the day setting up their trees at the Boise Center for the annual Festival of Trees.
Hundreds of people worked together to make sure the 86 trees looked just right.

The display will open up to the public Wednesday and will last through Sunday.

They have roughly 2000 volunteers lending a helping hand.

"Some of those volunteers have been here for 25 year. Some of them this is their vacation. They come in to work on the Festival of trees because they are so excited about it. It is truly a community event. It's exciting, and it really kicks off the holiday season," said Char and Bruce Smith, co-chairs of the festival.

The cost is seven dollars for adults and 4 for children and seniors.
