Sen. Sanders draws Boise youth to rally

Posted

Today's campaign rally for Bernie Sanders turned out people of all ages, including people able to vote for the first time having met the age requirement.

KIVI-TV found some of these first-time voters and talked with them about what drew them to the Sanders campaign.

One campaign supporter said proudly that she was eager to exercise her right to vote for the first time.

Another said she supported Sanders because the country had become divided into a small upper class that has more wealth and privilege than the middle or lower classes.

But it hasn't been a primrose path for these seekers of bread and roses. One person we talked to said her boss at work spoke to her in a way that was less encouraging than brusque upon hearing she would be attending the rally.
