PENDLETON, Ore. — Eastbound I-84 near Pendleton, Oregon is closed at exit 216 and west in Baker City at Exit 304 due to truck crashes near milepost 270 and 258. The crashes are blocking the westbound lanes, preventing the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) winter maintenance crews from returning after treating snow and ice on the eastbound freeway.

Emergency responders are on scene and the interstate is expected to remain closed for more than four hours. Truck traffic heading west is also restricting from Ontario due to limited truck parking in Baker City, according to a news release.

OR 204 and OR 245 are also closed to through traffic and are not viable detours for freeway traffic.

Winter weather and icy conditions can be expected throughout eastern Oregon. Check TripCheck.com or call 511 or 800-977-6368 for updated conditions. People living outside Oregon should call 503-588-2941.
