Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching a stretch of the Snake River in Owyhee County for an 18-year-old man who disappeared Wednesday night.
About 10:30 p.m., the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a boat that was taking on water near the Homedale boat dock.
There was a storm in the area at the time.
Eight adults were on board. All but one was rescued, said Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Christine Ballard.
Personnel from the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Fish and Game Department, as well as and numerous citizens are searching the river. Multiple boats are on the water and many people walking the banks.
No additional help is requested from the public at this time, Ballard said.
