BOISE, Idaho — The Scripps Howard Foundation, on behalf of 6 On Your Side, made a $5,000 donation to the P.E.E.R Wellness Center Tuesday.
The organization provides free programs and peer support to people in the Treasure Valley living in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction.
"I can't imagine doing anything else, but when you guys - community stakeholders - are offering support like this it just means the world to us and I can't tell you thank you enough," Monica Forbes, Recovery United C.E.O said. "Thank you very much."
Throughout the holiday season, the center is offering a fun, sober atmosphere for people to celebrate the season.
