BOISE — A Boise elementary school was placed in temporary lockdown as police officers searched for a bank robbery suspect.
Around 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 8th, Boise Police responded to a report of a bank robbery on the 1600 block of W. State Street. The suspect provided a note demanding money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect did not display a weapon and was wearing a hat, a hooded jacket and he had something covering his face.
Officers began searching the area for the suspect and a possible vehicle linked to the suspect. During that search, a subject was located near N. 32nd St. and State Street. As the investigation continued, Lowell Elementary School was temporally placed into lockdown as a safety precaution.
Lockdown lifted at Lowell Elementary School. According to Boise Police, robbery suspect in custody. Normal school operations resumed. Thank you for your understanding.

Shortly after that, officers took 28-year-old Ethan Pruatt into custody. The lockdown at Lowell Elementary has been lifted.
