BOISE — A Boise elementary school was placed in temporary lockdown as police officers searched for a bank robbery suspect.

Around 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 8th, Boise Police responded to a report of a bank robbery on the 1600 block of W. State Street. The suspect provided a note demanding money and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect did not display a weapon and was wearing a hat, a hooded jacket and he had something covering his face.

Officers began searching the area for the suspect and a possible vehicle linked to the suspect. During that search, a subject was located near N. 32nd St. and State Street. As the investigation continued, Lowell Elementary School was temporally placed into lockdown as a safety precaution.

Shortly after that, officers took 28-year-old Ethan Pruatt into custody. The lockdown at Lowell Elementary has been lifted.
