BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- An official says three elementary school children in a school bus that collided with a car Friday morning in Boise avoided injury.

Ada County dispatch says they received the report of the crash at 8:17 a.m. near Cole and Overland intersection.

Boise School District spokesman Dan Hollar says another bus picked up the three Monroe Elementary School students and took them to school.

Hollar says the bus driver also avoided injury but a woman in the car was transported to a local hospital with back pain.

Hollar says the bus driver was cited for making a left turn on a red light. He says the bus company's policy is to take the driver to a medical center for drug testing.

First Student Inc. is the bus transportation provider. Officials there didn't return a call from The Associated Press on Friday.

Boise police previously said the bus contained no children.
