Multiple emergency response crews are on the scene of a crash involving a school bus and another vehicle near the intersection of Franklin and Linder Roads in Meridian.

It happened about 7:15 a.m. Monday.

The school bus is on its side, blocking several lanes.

West Ada School District spokesman Eric Exline confirms that there were no students on the bus at the time. "Preliminary reports indicate the driver is OK," he said. The bus was headed to Lewis and Clark Middle School to begin its morning route, Exline added.

The driver is employed by the Cascade Bus Company, which will likely conduct its own investigation into the crash.

No word yet on what caused the collision.

Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection.
