Students at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Bosie are doing their part to help students all the way across the country. The kids are holding a yard and bake sale on Sunday to collect money for the victims of Hurricane Irma in Florida.

They've been collecting donations for the sale. On Friday kindergarten and fourth-grade students spent their time sorting through those donations and setting up for Sunday. In addition to all of the goodie, they will sell items like shoes, clothes, toys, and books. The money raised will help The Basilica School of Saint Mary Star of The Sea which was impacted by the hurricane.

"It's because there are other kids there and it's probably very scary for them and I just feel like they need that," said fourth-grader Alazne Campbell.

"We are going to write letters to the kids later this year and we are going to communicate with each other using letters and get to know about each other," said fourth-grader Christopher Jones.

The sale will take place from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday in the playground area of the school at 825 West  Fort Street in Boise.
