MERIDIAN, Idaho — Saint Alphonsus announced Monday that it is consolidating all its COVID-19 vaccination clinics to a central location at The Village. Starting February 18, all appointments scheduled for the Saint Alphonsus locations in Boise, Nampa and clinics in southwest Idaho will relocate to the former Gordmans at 2260 N. Eagle Road.

"Everyone will know exactly where they are supposed to go and were not shuttling vaccines all over the place and to the different providers as well, so we think it will be very convenient,” said Jennifer Misajet, Regional Chief Nursing Officer for Saint Alphonsus Health System and Vice President of Operations for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

The new site is 50,000 square feet and will be the first permanent off-site mass vaccination clinic to open in Idaho.

“We have been holding vaccination clinics at our Idaho hospitals and clinics since mid-December and have administered more than 25,000 vaccine doses in Idaho,” said Misajet.“By consolidating all these clinics to one central and easily accessible location with convenient parking, we will be able to streamline the vaccination process and reduce the disruption and inconvenience to patients and staff at our hospitals and family medicine clinic locations.”

This new space will also allow Saint Alphonsus to give out more vaccines in a day.

“We can open up more lanes and then we can open up for longer hours so the number of vaccines will be greater. We’ll still be over 1,000 per day,” said Misajet.

People who have appointments scheduled for the Boise or Nampa hospitals are being notified of the location change. For more information about the COVID-19 vaccines and scheduling information, click here.
