Going to the doctor's office can be a real pain, but now you can see a doctor from Saint Alphonsus without even leaving your home. Thanks to the new MyeVisit website.
On the website, you can video chat with a doctor to find out what's wrong, get treatment, and even get prescriptions. The service just became public this month. Currently, doctors using the online system can diagnose and treat 13 conditions from a sinus to bladder infection. Doctors say they hope to offer more services using the program in the near future.
"Orthopedics is something possibly in the future that we are looking at and probably other this were you might have minor issues of vomiting or loose stools. We haven't gotten there yet but possibly in the future if we look at those. Those are things we may add," explained Dr. Michael Graff a physician with Saint Alphonsus.
It costs a flat fee of $45 and is currently not covered by insurance.
