Boise pastor Saeed Abedini is finally back on U.S. soil. He landed this evening and is set to begin the next step in his journey back to a normal life.
Saeed landed in North Carolina today after spending time recovering in Germany.
The Boise pastor was released from an Iranian prison less than a week ago in a prisoner exchange between Iran and the United States.
Abedini was behind bars for more than three years, accused of trying to spread Christianity in the Islamic country.
Saeed’s wife Naghmeh, who publically fought for his release for years, is set to join him in North Carolina next week.
Saeed will now rest and spend time with family and friends at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, North Carolina.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the Abedinis' story as it moves forward.
