BOISE — Rover is an app that connects dog owners with people locally who will walk your dog or look after Fito for multiple days, the company tells us that Boise is one of their fastest growing service areas.

Andrea Rhodes decided to give Rover a try after her own dog passed away and now she couldn't imagine having another job.

"As soon as I heard about Rover I knew that it was something I wanted to do," said Rhodes. "I recommend Rover highly because of the background check and the accountability."

Along with the background check Rover has a guarantee to protect dog sitters, dog owners and the dogs in case something happens, Rover will cover a trip to the veterinarian.

Rhodes said that constant contact between the owners and herself give dog owners peace of mind especially if something comes up where a dog owner suddenly needs to leave town.

"I always update all of my owners at least three times a day," said Rhodes.

Rhodes said she loves her job and it provides her with a way to earn income, however, she only takes care of one person's dogs at a time, that's her preference, but others have turned Rover into a full-time career.

Just one trip to the app provides dog owners with several different options, here is a link to Rover's website.
