The 3rd annual Scentsy Rock-a-thon is looking to raise $252,000 in one day to benefit Family Advocates, a local nonprofit organization working to strengthen Southwest Idaho families to end child abuse.

70 rocking chairs will be placed along Eagle Road in front of the Scentsy Commons for 12 hours on Friday, September 9th. The goal is for all the chairs to be filled for all 12 hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.)! Scentsy will be donating $5 per minute, per chair, for 10 hours ($210,000). They are challenging the community to then raise the additional $5 per minute per chair for the remaining 2 hours ($42,000).

All community members are encouraged to come out and “Be a HERO”, which is the theme of this year's event! HERO is an acronym for Help promote the event, Earn a star through making a monetary donation, Rock, or Offer a donation item. At the Rock-a-thon, donations will be accepted for new baby items that include toiletries, diapers, over-the-counter infant medicine, baby books, etc.

And, If you spend time rocking, donate money, or a baby item, you’ll even earn a parking pass for the fireworks show on Friday night! Parking is available starting at 8pm and the fireworks start around 8:45pm. Fireworks parking is $10 per car, unless you’ve earned a parking pass. All parking proceeds benefit Family Advocates.
