Nampa Police are looking for two people after a shots fired incident on the 100 block of 18th Ave. North this evening.

Police tell us a man and his wife walked into  a home they own on the block and were surprised to find another man and woman inside.  Investigators believe the couple who were inside at the time are transient and were looking for a place to stay out of the cold.

The man called police and said one of the people became aggressive with him, so he grabbed his gun, and fired two warning shots into the ground to keep them from leaving.

Police had arrived on scene before the shots were fired and heard them from outside.

The man and wife who own the home came outside where police say they handcuffed them and detained them for a short time as they worked to figure out what was going on.

Both the people who had been inside the home got away.  Police believe they have a good idea of who they are and say there is no danger to the public.
