The first of three public hearings was held Monday to discuss proposed boundary changes to the West Ada School District.

The proposal is aimed at reducing overcrowding at Eagle Middle School and Heritage Middle School while creating a new attendance area for Star Middle School that will open next fall.

Currently the two middle schools are both several hundred students over their design capacity. A committee spent several working on a proposal to help reduce the overcrowding. The proposal was introduced Monday which received a lot of parent feedback.

The second of three hearings will be held Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Heritage Middle School cafeteria.
