BOISE — Volunteers hand-made quilts for Project Linus today at Meadow Lake Village Retirement Community. 75 blankets were turned in today, which is a combined effort by the ladies at Meadow Lake and the Ada County Jail. The blankets and quilts are given to children who are ill or injured. Some went out today to West Valley Hospital for the kids going through a rough patch.

"When everything is going, pretty bad for them, either in a hospital, very sick, domestic abuse, and just in need of some love and comfort," said chapter assistant Judy Gallic.

Project Linus has other local events coming up in February, including the 'National Project Linus Day' celebration at the Karcher Mall.
