Previous Barbacoa owner death ruled an accident by Ada County Coroner

BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office released the cause of death for a former Barbacoa owner was an accident. Robert William Castoro, 53, was pronounced dead at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise on April 17. Castoro died from traumatic head injuries.

Boise Police responded to a home on Gossamer Lane at 10:45 a.m. on Friday and began their investigation. Castoro was taken from his home where the injuries happened to the hospital. According to a press release from the coroner's office, he was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m.

Home security video was reviewed with Boise Police Detectives and the autopsy was finished late Friday. The manner of the death was an accident and Boise Police detectives did not find any evidence of a crime. Based on the video, detectives were able to see how the injuries happened and verified there was no one else inside the home at the time.

The investigation is now complete and no more information will be released.
