What Idaho Lottery officials are calling “the epic jackpot run” for Powerball continues, as the new estimated annuity jackpot for Saturday night’s draw has now reached a record $800 million.

The one-time cash equivalent is an estimated $496 million, a world record for a jackpot game.

“Across Idaho, many retailers are already experiencing busier than normal volumes of player traffic. This will most likely increase Saturday as the draw gets closer,” said Idaho Lottery spokesman Dave Workman. “Players are advised to plan ahead, to be patient while waiting to purchase their tickets, as there may be lines at retail locations.”

Players have until 7:55 p.m. MT on Saturday evening to purchase a ticket to participate in this historic Powerball draw.
