Idaho Power crews have restored electricity to more than 1,000 customers after an early-morning crash damaged two power poles.

It happened on Middleton Road between Smith Avenue and West Kipling Way.

Nampa Police say a driver was going North on Middleton Road when he sheared off one pole and damaged a second one around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The driver was not injured, but he was cited for inattentive driving and released.

Both lanes of traffic were blocked while Idaho Power crews worked on it.
