BOISE, Idaho — Early Saturday afternoon, the Boise Hive and St. Vincent de Paul held a pop-up food drive to support local musicians in our community who are struggling to find work during the pandemic.

It has been tough for musicians to find gigs during this time, and many of them also work in the service industry, which took a hit as well.

"Everything is kind of working against them right now," said Ralph May of St. Vincent de Paul. "We got some interest from the Boise Hive to be able to sponsor an event so we are here today to bring food to musicians who are struggling during COVID."

This pop-up food bank is in addition to St. Vincent de Paul's regular pantry drive which is open to those who need groceries during this time.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, you can head to the St. Vincent de Paul website to find a food pantry near you.
