A Boise man has been booked into the Ada County Jail on a charge of felony video voyeurism after police say he secretly video recorded a man in a shower stall at a West Boise recreation facility.

It happened on March 14 of this year, according to a Boise Police Department news release.

Witnesses at the facility told police a man had used a cell phone to video-record another male in a shower stall, where the victim “had a reasonable expectation of privacy,” the release said.

Police declined to identify the facility.

Officers detained the suspect, later identified as Kalan Gussie, 21, of Boise. Gussie refuted the claims against him, a report said. “Evidence gathered in the investigation was forwarded on to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant for video voyeurism was issued,” the release stated.

Shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday, officers served an arrest warrant at a home on the 2400 block of Shoshone Street.

Reports say Gussie was inside, but refused to surrender for nearly an hour. Officers eventually took him into custody and booked him into the Ada County Jail.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of resisting officers.

Investigators believe there could be more victims. If you have knowledge of any similar incidents or know anything about the suspect, you are urged to call the Boise Police Department or Crimestoppers at 208-343-COPS.
