Police catch suspect after downtown Boise bank robbery

BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police have arrested a suspect after a bank robbery in downtown Boise Wednesday morning.

Police say the robbery happened around 11:20 a.m. on Front and Capitol. The suspect was described as a white male, 40-50 years old and was wearing a grey coat/hoodie and gray pants with a camo beanie. Police say he also had a distinctive long white goatee.

Police say the suspect handed the teller a note and fled on foot headed northbound on Capitol with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers took the suspect into custody just after noon. near 6th and Main street. The suspect, identified as James Nolan, was arrested on one charge of felony Robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.
