MERIDIAN — Linda Monroe, 75, of Meridian –- the woman who police say went missing from the St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian about 1 p.m. Thursday -- has been found safe and returned to the facility.
“Monroe showed up at a doctor’s office in Boise for a previously-scheduled doctor’s appointment (Friday morning),” said Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea. “The caregiver then contacted family, who contacted the Meridian Police Department.”
“We believe she was safe from the time she was reported missing to when she was located,” Basterrechea said.
Monroe is unable to care for herself, which was why police were actively searching for her.
